New Caledonia has its own complete time series of monthly syntheses

Theia Surface Reflectance SEC has just published a new complete time series of monthly mosaics (L3A) of cloud-free surface reflectance, based on Sentinel-2 data, over the entire geographical area of New Caledonia. The time series covers the period from 15 July 2017 to the present day, and data processing will now continue in real time at the initiative and request of Theia Regional Animation Network (RAN) Geodev-NC.

The level 3A product is a monthly synthesis of surface reflectance from all available level 2A products over a 45-day period. The synthesis is based on a weighted average of cloud-free observations, after correction for atmospheric effects and cloud detection.

Data are prepared and produced by Theia exploitation team at CNES, attached to the DNO/OT/PE service, in collaboration with the development teams at CNES (DNO/OT/IS) and research teams at CESBIO (DSO/SI//CB). They can be downloaded from the theia.cnes.fr website.
