The POLDER project is a space project on which POSTEL is taking care of the processing, the production and the distribution of CNES scientific satellite sensors.
In order to avoid the variations due to changes in angular conditions, the NDVI is calculated from the directionnal albedos at 670nm and 865nm. Thus, NDVI is corrected for directional effects.
Format
The POLDER-1/ADEOS-1 and POLDER-2/ADEOS-2 NDVI are included in the product “Albedo and Vegetation” that can be ordered through the POLDER Data Distribution Center.
The POLDER-3/PARASOL NDVI derived from data acquired since April 2005 can be downloaded with an algorithmic description and technical document. The production goes on in near real time : an updated product is generated every 10 days.
