Spot 6/7

Data access

The Geosud direct receiving station is used to programme acquisitions, receive telemetry and process data from Spot 6/7 in order to create Restored Sensor, Ortho and Pansharpened products among others directly on-site. These products will be used to produce the annual coverage of France – including overseas regions and communities – in addition to meeting the specific requests of researchers and public services (stereo, tri-stereo or multi-temporal).

For the annual coverage, the raw images will be sent to the IGN for processing (aero-triangulation for the whole of France in order to produce an annual coverage which complies with the RGE large-scale reference system and which will be available at the end of the year for the year in question.

Primary : The Primary product is the processing level closest to the natural image acquired by the sensor. This product restores perfect collection conditions: the sensor is placed in rectilinear geometry, and the image is clear of all radiometric distortion.

Ortho : The Ortho product is a georeferenced image in Earth geometry, corrected from acquisition and terrain off-nadir effects.
