THEIA Snow product joins the hydroweb.next portal
The dissemination of THEIA Snow products will be transferred to the THEIA-CNES hydroweb.next.theia-land.fr portal on 12 December 2023, to join the other hydrological products available on this portal.
THEIA snow cover product is generated from Sentinel-2 images at 20m resolution every five days over certain regions of the globe. Annual syntheses are also available.
Initially, this portal will only display level 2B images from 01 September 2023 onwards. From January 2024, the archive will be completed with products from September 2021 to the end of August 2023 and the associated annual summaries for 2021 and 2022. The rest of the archive will be made available as soon as possible.
An overlay period between the historic broadcast portal, which has become obsolete, and this new portal will be provided until 31 March 2024 to allow you to adapt to this change. Thereafter, the URL https://theia.cnes.fr will no longer be accessible.
Principles of use remain the same: authentication with your THEIA account is required to download products.
